We all are exposed to toxins
daily. We eat and drink them and impose them upon ourselves repeatedly and
regularly. Most drugs, food additives, and allergens can create toxic elements
in the body. In fact, any substance can have toxicity-water, sodium, and almost
all nutrients can be a problem in certain circumstances.

Words from us…
Wayne’s World
This month’s theme is cleansing and detoxification, spring cleaning for the body
if you will. These processes correct conscious unhealthy habits (drinking,
smoking, drugs) and also unconscious toxin intake (microbes, pollution,
radiation). Detoxification clears toxins from the body, disabling them from
creating or continuing to cause damage. Autumn and spring are the perfect times
to detox the body and to give our bodies a better chance at staying healthy.
These programs differ for what ails a person and depends on an individual’s
needs and wants. They include fasts, juice cleanses, hydration, exercise, colon
cleanses, enemas, herbs and low levels of stress (hint: relaxation).
Researchers have concluded that cleansing the liver may contribute to a
person’s overall sense of well-being. Digestive enzymes are also important to
break down the foods you eat to prevent putrification and rot, which create more
waste for your body to deal with. People definitely need to change their
lifestyles so they don’t build up these toxins. Detoxification is a necessity,
for cleansing supports the digestive and eliminative systems so that they do not
become overloaded. The average person has 10 to 15 pounds of waste in their
intestines! Call us today at 877-2494 or visit us at 840 South Rancho Drive

My
favorite cleanse is a green juice cleanse. Green juices have amazing amounts of
vitamins and minerals, plus they rid the body of dangerous toxins. This is my
recipe for a great detoxifying green drink: parsley (1 oz.), beets (2 oz.),
spinach (1oz.), kale (1oz.), ginger (1 oz.) and carrots (3 large).

Do
you feel dirty & just plain unhealthy? Perhaps you need to detoxify.
Detoxification aids the body in eliminating waste toxins. The liver & gastro
intestinal tract are responsible for eliminating toxins in the body. It is a
good idea to enhance liver function with certain herbs like milk thistle &
artichoke leaf. Mild laxatives like aloe help to cleanse the bowel. Lifestyle
changes are a necessary step in the detoxification process. Get sufficient
sunlight, exercise, & sleep. Breathe. Avoid stress & find ways to relax &
resolve stressful conditions in your life. Dietary changes encourage the
detoxification process. As hard as it is, try to keep a well balanced diet,
rich in fruits & vegetables. Toxins can drain the body of energy & make us more
susceptible to infection & disease. It is imperative to cleanse the liver.
Some other herbs that can be taken to keep good liver health are burdock,
dandelion, & licorice, all of which can be found on the shelves of

Speaking Words of Wisdom
Today
is a great day to begin a cleanse of the body, mind, and spirit. To start you
should cleanse the bodies internal systems like the colon, liver, blood,
lymphatic, etc. There are many different types of cleanses to do, but I think
one should begin with the colon since everything you eat passes through it.
Greens along with fiber is the best way to bind toxins and move them out of the
body. Some people might need to use a colon cleanse kit which includes herbs and
fiber plus greens to do the job. Secondly, you should look to cleanse the mind
of negative thought patterns and destructive habits. One good way to do this is
to take up a stress reduction exercise like Chi-Kung, Tai-Chi Chuan, yoga etc.
or visit nature to clear your head. The spirit is the most important aspect to
keep clean. When your spirits are high everything else in life seems fine, no
matter what’s going on in the world, a calm spirit is truly the biggest gift.
What keeps you in a good mood? What makes all your little worries seem
unimportant? Well keep good morals, train and work hard on yourself daily, eat
healthy, meditate, treat yourself to a special something every now and then and
always believe things will get better and better and better.

Nik Notes
Detoxification is a natural process that your body
constantly performs. The liver is always rejuvenating itself and can totally
regenerate given enough time. Unfortunately the liver is the only organ that
has that capability, no other system can renew itself with out our assistance.
I like to focus more on the liver and kidneys in my detoxification system, by
cleaning the filters of the body these organs can work at a higher level of
performance. In my opinion the best way to start cleansing the body is to start
at the beginning of the digestive tract, the stomach. Digestive enzymes will
help to break down the food you eat completely, alleviating problems such as
indigestion and acid reflux. Next in line is the intestinal tract, where
probiotics are the emperor. By adding these beneficial bacteria the intestines
increase absorption and assimilation. Following along the digestive tract the
last stop is the colon. The colon is the last step in the digestive process and
the easiest to find products for, because most of these products are not much
more than laxatives, causing the colon to flush. For those people who are
looking for a more intense cleansing process, a colonic may be what you are
looking for.
