March 2003

If you suffer from sinus
problems, there may be something that you can do to relieve your symptoms and
prevent sinusitis absolutely free - hum.
Scientists in Sweden
have discovered that humming is an extremely effective way to increase
ventilation in your sinuses. They found that humming increased the nitric oxide
levels by 15-fold compared with quiet exhalation. Nitric oxide concentrations in
healthy sinuses are very high.

Stress, environmental toxicity, food intolerances, & a polluted body will all
contribute to an allergic reaction in the body. A few things will go a long way
in helping. My favorites are Vitamin C, flaxseed oil, & adrenal formulas with
schisandra. But most of all lower your stress level, get 6-8 hours of sleep, eat
right & get out of toxic relationships;- and if all else fails, pray! –God will
help you.
Jenny's Jive
Are you suffering
from nasal congestion, watery eyes, & coughing? It’s the season for allergies-
the inappropriate response by the body's immune system to a substance that is
not normally harmful. Allergens are the substances that provoke allergic
responses. Allergies affect our quality of life & productivity, fortunately
there are a number of herbs & supplements that can be taken to minimize the
symptoms of allergies. Bee pollen, & quercetin can help to stimulate proper
immune function. Glucosamine sulfate helps regulate mucus secretions of the
respiratory system. Herbs can be used to help with the symptoms of allergies.
Boswellia works at the cellular level to reduce inflammatory & allergic
responses, eucalyptus leaves, eyebright, licorice root, nettle & magnolia flower
all help reduce the agonizing symptoms of allergies. There are many more
supplements & herbs available for allergy relief- all of which can be found
nestled on the shelves of

Speaking Words of Wisdom
The definition for allergies is an abnormally high
sensitivity to certain substances, such as pollens, foods or micro-organisms.
Some allergies stem from a weakened immune system or adrenal glands, while many
others are caused by an injudicious style of living and eating. Dairy products
(milk, cheese, etc.) are probably the biggest culprits due to their forming of
mucus in the body. They slow down the body’s ability to handle or process
common allergens or actually might be the allergen itself. Avoid these foods for
a period of time to see if that could be the cause of your allergies. Chemicals
in laundry soap, dish soap, house hold cleaners etc., are also a big cause of
allergies. Avoid all of these if they’re not petro-chemical free and look around
your house for chemicals that could be triggering your allergies. Herbs like
Siberian ginseng, amla, astragalus, licorice, schisandra, and alfalfa strengthen
the immune system and support the adrenal glands. Adding herbs to your daily
diet is highly beneficial in more then one way. Moderate exercise will stimulate
the adrenals aiding them to function better, exercises like Tai-Chi Chuan and
Chi-Kung have been proven for thousands of years to help with stress levels and
for the modern day warrior this is key to better health. Drinking water is the
most important defense of all, for keeping the body hydrated helps everything
work and function better.

Nik Notes:
Allergic reactions cause some of the most irritating symptoms, itchy, watering
eyes and congestion to name a few. These symptoms can be eased in many ways, I
have found one in particular that has proven to be exceptionally effective, the
“Las Vegas Mix”. This product is manufactured locally by Dolisos, the leading
homeopathic medicine manufacturer in the United States. Homeopathic medicines
have some unique advantages over pharmaceutical and herbal medicines, most
importantly that they are safe. I say safe because if a child were to get into
a bottle and drink it all, there would be no cause for emergency. These
medicines are so diluted that only the slightest traces remain, in fact
homeopathics are diluted so much that an analysis would show that there is
virtually no material in solution, all that is left is energetics, the spirit of
the plant. Like a flu shot the formula exposes your body to a trace amount of
an allergen, giving your body a chance to recognize and deal with what you are
allergic to. The most important usage guideline for these medicines is that you
CANNOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING for 10 minutes prior to and after consumption,
especially mint. Any consumption will negate the actions of the product and
will be a waste, Las Vegas Mix can be taken hourly if needed. I really like this
product and have received enough positive customer feedback to recommend it for
all windblown allergies.
