Many
people aren’t getting enough vitamin C, according to research published in the
Journal of the American College of Nutrition. After testing 494 patients
at a clinic, many of whom were pregnant, vitamin C assessments found that 30%
were marginally depleted of vitamin C and 6.3% showed more severe deficiency.
Early symptoms of vitamin C deficiency include fatigue and irritability.

Words from us…
Wayne’s World
Cardiovascular (CV) Disease is still
the number one cause of death in the U.S. The CV system is comprised of the
heart and blood vessels. What can go wrong? Angina or chest pain, a heart
attack, arteriosclerosis, blood clots in the coronary arteries (supplying blood
to the heart), and high blood pressure. Signs of a heart attack may include: a
heavy, tight pain in the chest area (often extending to the shoulder, arm, neck,
or jaw), sweating, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting,
feeling of anxiety, difficulty swallowing, sudden ringing in the ears, and loss
of speech. If you have any of these symptoms, even if they last only a few
minutes, contact your doctor immediately. For preventative measures to undertake
long before any of the above symptoms manifest, please read further in this

The Evelyn Files…
Matthias
Rath, M.D., explains his program for cardiovascular disease in his book on “the
Heart.” According to Dr. Rath
cholesterol is NOT the cause of heart disease. His research shows it is a lack
of vitamin C that causes heart attacks and strokes. Dr. Rath conducted double
blind studies and has patented formulas to prove his case. From an herbal point
of view I would recommend Hanna Kroeger’s “Circu Flow” in combination
with aloe vera gel. Hanna’s book on “Arteriosclerosis and Herbal Chelation”
outlines the causes, systems, diet, case histories and other important
information. Stop by our store and check out these books and products at your

answers questions:
Surprisingly, one of the most common reasons for heart disease is dairy
products. Even low-fat or non-fat milk will increase cholesterol levels due to
the conversion of milk proteins into cholesterol by the liver. An enzyme in milk
irritates arterial linings leading to the deposition of cholesterol on arterial
walls. Eggs on the other hand do not increase the risk of heart disease as once
thought. Even though eggs contain cholesterol, they also contain a fair amount
of lecithin, which lowers cholesterol. The best supplements to reduce the risk
of heart disease are lecithin, magnesium, silica, and vitamin C. Lecithin is a
fat emulsifier, it lowers cholesterol and removes arterial plaque. Magnesium
displaces calcium in arterial plaque making it soft and easier to remove. Silica
strengthens arterial walls and
reduces inflammation to prevent plaque formation. Vitamin C strengthens arterial
walls.
Tarah’s Corner-
The
heart is the most important organ in the body. Smoking, poor nutrition, obesity,
diabetes and more can cause cardiovascular disease. On an average, more than
2,600 Americans die each day because of cardiovascular diseases. That is about
one death every 33 seconds. Cardiovascular disease is the leading killer in the
Nation, and in most cases we can prevent it. We choose not to with our
lifestyles. Supplementing with essential fatty acids is a must; you can get
flax oil and Udo’s Choice Oil at Stay Healthy! Try adding garlic and
cayenne to your cooking for heart health and good circulation. Exercise, drink
water, and research a nutritional plan for heart health. The most important step
is to rid stress from your life, as much as possible. Emotional stress can take
a toll on your heart. Learning to handle stress and eat healthy will better your
health and your life.

listen closely”

Speaking Words of Wisdom
Affirmation for the heart; I’m open to
receive love and I express my joy freely.
Heart problems can be more then just on the physical level, for I believe that
many heart problems begin on the emotional/spiritual level. Yes a sad, broken or
heavy heart can cause problems on the physical level. The Heart is a Yin Fire
Organ-Meridian system, it is the master organ that harbors the Shen (spirit),
according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s not yet scientifically proven
but the Chinese have believed for about 5000 years that emotions reside in the
organs. The heart controls the mind and the negative emotions of indifference
and the positive emotions of love, and when functioning properly other organ
systems function harmoniously. A heart system that is strong and healthy would
present itself as an “all-embracing love.” A
simple Chi-Kung (energy work) exercise to do is to stand straight with arms on
the sides. Reach out with both arms like your
gathering energy from the universe, using your mind to visualize a healing green
energy. Bring this soft glowing energy into your heart region, letting it feel
you with loving thoughts for all things in your life past and present. Do this a
few times and feel a deep sense of peace and love for yourself and others.
Knowledge applied is
wisdom…
Nik Notes: The heart is extremely important for survival, for it pumps nutrients
to the furthest capillaries in the tips of your toes. Help your heart deliver
these nutrients by eating a healthy diet and taking herbs like ginger and
cayenne to increase your circulation.
