Words from us…
Wayne’s World
When
fat is not used at the time of consumption, it is stored by our bodies in
special fat cells. When the body needs energy, fat is converted into fuel, but
only when food is not readily available. Since we do not live in the ancient
natural world but today, food supplies in our market economy are not scarce and
fatty foods abound and are the foods of choice based on taste. What are the
popular supplements to help control excess body fat? Remember these supplements
are to be used according to directions and used in conjunction with reduced
calorie intake and an increase in physical activity. First, I like “Jarrow’s”
Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) to help reduce body fat. Studies confirm a
reduction in total body weight in addition to body fat percentage with no side
effects. Some manufacturers will use guarana (an herb) with CLA to both reduce
the size and total number of Adipocytes (fat cells) in the body. Green tea has
multiple benefits, one of which is fat burning, because the tea is rich in
flavonoids called catechins which are thermogenic (fat burning). One old
formula for burning fat is the kelp, apple cider vinegar, lecithin, B-6 and
grapefruit combination. This can be found effectively in “Solgar’s” All-In-One
Formula. When it comes to fat burning, one nutrient stands above the rest in
importance – carnitine, known also as L-carnitine. Carnitine is the forklift
that takes fat into the fat incinerators in our cells called mitochondria. We
must get fat into the mitochondria to burn it off and transform fat into
energy. That is why Carnitine both encourages weight loss and increases energy
levels. Take it in the morning on an empty stomach, not at night when it may
prevent sleep. According to studies, too little sleep has now been tied to too
much weight. So there is a relationship between lack of sleep and obesity.

burning fat.

Thank you so much for your patronage. Stay Healthy!
Jenny's Jive: It's
important to know that a diet that is varied and balanced across three
macro-nutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fats) will ensure your body is the
healthiest it possibly can be and any excess weight will come off as a result of
healthy eating habits and exercise. Fruits rich in vitamin C like limes, lemons,
oranges, grapefruit and tangerines have fat burning properties. Some of the
other fat burning foods are asparagus, beet root, broccoli, cabbage,
carrot, blueberries, watermelon, apples, bananas, & pineapples. These foods may
only encourage weight loss when used within a well-balanced diet. If you eat
these fat burning foods and exercise, it will boost your metabolism and burn
calories at a faster rate for several hours even after exercise. Essential fatty
acids turn on the fat burning processes in the cells. The right fats, consumed
in small quantities have the effect of slowing the digestion of carbs and
protein. Fish, such as bass, herring, cod, oysters, & sardines all have
naturally occurring essential fatty acids. Though diet is a big part of fat
burning, the truth is found in exercise.

Positive Vibrations:
Burning fat is
a major problem in American society today. Americans
are in an epidemic situation for losing weight and burning fat. Your eating
habits are so important for health and energy, along with getting enough water,
sleep and exercise to maintain and sustain good body tone. Eating more fresh
fruits and vegetables are a must, also cutting back on fried foods, saturated
fats from animals, and include whole grains breads and cereals, EFA’s, fresh
water and incorporating an exercise routine that you can be comfortable and
consistent with is the key to increasing your fat burning ability and success.
Some helpful nutritional support to increase burning fat would be an amino acid
called L-glutamine which helps with the conversion of fat to lean muscle mass
and energy production. Lecithin is a phospholipid produced in the liver and
present in some foods and is a source of phosphatidyl choline for brain and
nerve function and also helps burn fat in the liver. Jiaogulan (jaw-goo-lawn) is
a little known Chinese herb comparable to ginseng, a natural antibacterial,
anti-inflammatory and a proven remedy to help lower cholesterol and blood
pressure, improve fat metabolism, and can help facilitate weight loss by
inhibiting the body’s ability to store sugars as fat. Coconut oil is another
excellent fat burning nutrient. Given a “bad rap” for over 40 years, coconut oil
is a saturated fat food, but plant-based saturated fats are good for your
cardiovascular system and will not contribute to heart disease as thought. Along
with being antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral, coconut oil turns on your
fat burning process and turns off your fat storage process.

Speaking Words of Wisdom
We all know how important water
is. To find out your daily water intake do the following equation. Take your
weight and divide it by two. This is your daily minimum in ounces, for example
if you weigh 100 pounds you should drink 50 ounces of water daily. Water is
truly the missing link for most dieters. Dehydration slows the resting metabolic
rate (RMR) and can cause waste products like ketones to build up in tissues. A
natural whole food diet is better then any fad diet. Vitamin deficiencies can
lead to food binges. Everyone one on the planet needs to take a
multi-vitamin-mineral, or eat 7-8 servings of 100% organic fruits and vegetables
everyday. Herbs like cinnamon, cayenne, ginger, and many more have a natural
thermogenic effect, meaning they help the body burn fat. Daily exercise is the
key to permanent pain-less weight control. Exercise releases fat from the cells,
and exercising early in the morning can raise metabolism as much as 25%. Deep
breathing alone can increase metabolic rate, so breathe like your smelling a
rose. Breathing is the most powerful underestimated tool to health. Besides
these basic facts there are six common weight loss blockers to address; 1.
Thyroid imbalance 2. Overeating fat and calories 3. Blood sugar imbalances 4.
Liver malfunction and cellulite formation 5. Poor circulation and low energy 6.
Poor elimination. Visualization is very powerful when it comes to programming
your mind/body connection in order to make physical changes. Look for
inspiration from other people who have done it already. Walking, cycling,
Tai-Chi Chuan, and all forms of moving exercise activates metabolism and
increases endorphin levels, making you feel good about yourself and the way you
look.
