Words from us

Wayne’s World
Sleep and proper hydration are two of the “freebies” each of us can do to improve our overall health and life expectancy.  Another important, if not the most important thing, is to improve your heart health.  Good food choices, exercise, and the wise use of dietary supplements can dramatically benefit heart health.  Folks, 40% of all deaths in the U.S. are from cardiovascular disease (CVD), beating out cancer, AIDS, diabetes and accidents combined!  Life expectancy would rise by almost 7 years if all forms of major CVD were eliminated.  Great stand-alone supplements and formulas exist to achieve and maintain heart and blood vessel health in the form of vitamins, minerals, and herbs.  These products should not be overlooked or underestimated.  Stay Healthy!  is a stockpile of these key nutrients, and plenty of literature, books, and clinical studies support their efficacy.  Dr. Matthias Rath has devoted a significant part of his life (he worked with Linus Pauling) to heart health, and has the supplements and research to prove it.  Enzymatic Therapy and Himalaya USA are two more companies with wonderful products.  My favorite dietary supplements for heart health are quality CoQ10, L-Carnitine, stabilized fish oil supplements, enteric-coated garlic products, magnesium, niacin, Vitamin E, folic acid, Hawthorne extract, and L-Cysteine.  All of these provide overall nutritional support to the heart and vascular system.  These special supplements are clinically studied and can have a major positive impact on your heart’s health and strength.  Use them every day!  However, you must eat a healthful diet low in sugar, refined foods, and saturated fats.  And please, exercise your heart on a regular basis.
Thank you so much for your patronage. Stay Healthy!

Jenny's Jive:    Through the years Americans have had a lifetime of unhealthy eating habits, smoking, stress, & lack of exercise. Little do people know that these unhealthy habits increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease affects one of the most important organs, the heart. This small organ about the size of a baseball & weighing between 8-12 ounces can be protected. Clinical research has proven herbs & vitamins to be helpful in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Hawthorn, derived from the leaves, flowers, & berries of a European shrub is one of the world’s most effective heart medicines. It increases blood flow, improves circulation, & normalizes the heart beat. In addition to improving symptoms, regular use of the herb may reverse disease!  Please visit us soon to learn more about hawthorn!

Jeff's Positive Vibrations:  Heart disease is the # 1 cause of death in America, and for women, 1 out of 3 women 40 years and older will develop some kind of heart related problem in their life. 12% of those women will die of heart disease because of the lack of exercise alone. START EXERCISING TODAY!!! Exercising and a sound nutritional program is so essential to a healthy, energetic and happy life. It’s not that difficult to make those necessary changes that will ultimately save your life! Supplements such as B6, B12 and folic acid together can reduce the risk of heart disease by 45%!!!!! Foods rich in these vitamins include orange juice, spinach, oats, broccoli and bananas. You can easily make a big difference with your health and prevent heart disease by changing your lifestyle.  A diet with high fiber, fresh fruits and vegetables can lower blood levels of homocysteine, a harmful amino acid. Homocysteine can damage blood vessels that nourish the heart and the brain. Increased amounts of homocysteine can not only predict heart attacks and stroke, but also may cause them. In fact, the Framingham Heart Study has found that people with high levels of homocysteine had almost twice the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Physicians usually prescribe folic acid to reduce high levels of homocysteine. You can do so much for your own health just by eating healthy, exercising and coming in to Stay Healthy!  for your info needs.

J.C. Speaking Words of Wisdom
Heart problems can be more than just on the physical level. I believe that many heart problems begin on the emotional/spiritual level. Yes a sad, broken or heavy heart can cause problems on the physical level. The Heart is the master organ that harbors the Shen (spirit), according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.  It’s not yet scientifically proven but the Chinese have believed for about 5000 years that emotions reside in the organs. The heart controls the mind and the negative emotions of indifference and the positive emotions of love, and when functioning properly other organ systems function harmoniously. A heart system that is strong and healthy would present itself as an “all-embracing love”. Affirmation to open the heart chakra: “I’m open to receive love and I express my joy freely”. Herbs such as hawthorn, capsicum (cayenne), garlic and jiaogulan can strengthen the heart and improve the cardiovascular system. Vitamins such as E, CoQ10 and magnesium, along with other nutrients like lecithin, flax or fish oils are very helpful for cardiovascular health.  A simple Chi-Kung (energy work) exercise to do is to stand straight with arms on the sides.  Reach out with both arms like you're gathering energy from the universe, using your mind to visualize a healing green energy. Bring this soft glowing energy into your heart region, letting it fill you with love, light and energy for all things in your life past and present. May your heart be open to loving everyone.
Knowledge applied is wisdom…

Nik Notes:  Everyday new research is done in the field of cardiovascular health.  As information is released companies move quickly to create formulas to cater to the research.  The FDA and its pharmaceutical funding put a lot of energy and resources into marketing their products in a way that makes you believe that you need medication to stay healthy.  Be wary of any product that has a longer list of side-effects than ingredients.  Come to Stay Healthy! and get complete information on every product we carry.
