Words from us

Wayne’s World
People with allergies suffer from weak adrenals, translating into fatigue. Use a combination of these nutrients available today at Stay Healthy!:  pantothenic acid, Siberian Eleuthero, vitamin C or amla, and nettles (freeze dried). Stay Healthy! has an arsenal full of formulas for allergies. The “ Las Vegas Mix” is a homeopathic remedy to fight tree and other wind blown pollens from olive trees, mulberries, oleanders, etc. This is specific for our valley. Boiron’s “LVM” is put under the tongue and held for 30 seconds. Remember not to eat or drink 15 minutes before and after taking a homeopathic product for maximum effectiveness. Quercetin products are great also. Here I like Solgars quercetin complex with vitamin C and bromelain. New Chapter has a terrific product from medicinal mushrooms called “Breathe”, helpful especially for asthmatics and others with respiratory ailments. Try formulas by Nature’s Life, Natural Care, Nature’s Way, and my own personal favorite, Jarrow. Stay Healthy! has what an allergy suffer requires, without the use of drugs and their mean side effects. Use these natural remedies in safety and use them frequently. Remember also to eat well, hydrate your body with plenty of good water, rest more, and take a quality basic multiple vitamin two or three times a day for an array of essential nutrients. Let our staff at Stay Healthy! help you start immediately to assist your body during this stressful, pollen-laden season.
Thank you so much for your patronage. Stay Healthy!

Jenny's Jive:    Have you gained weight even though your diet hasn’t changed? You may have an allergy or sensitivity to certain foods. Find out what foods you’re allergic to by following an elimination diet. For one week, eat foods like brown rice, sweet potatoes, vegetables, & non-acidic fruits, foods that are less likely to cause reactions. When symptoms improve, add other foods one at a time to see if they aggravate symptoms. Eat each new food three times a day for two days. Foods that trigger symptoms are likely allergens. Eliminate wheat from your diet to stop allergy- related weight gain. Wheat keeps you from absorbing EFA’s, the good fats that help control weight.

Jeff's Positive Vibrations:  Allergies can come in 3 different ways; chemical, seasonal and food allergies. Allergic reactions to chemicals are increasing. 1/3 of Americans have sensitivities to chemicals a “silent epidemic” which mostly affects women and children. Over 4 ½ billion pounds of chemicals are used by us every year, 76 million pounds in our homes. Our bodies use enormous amounts of nutrients trying to detoxify us from these chemicals. Research shows 60% of people with chemical sensitivity have a B6 deficiency; 30% have a vitamin C deficiency; and 30% are deficient in B1, B2, B3, and B5. Eat high fiber food to bind and eliminate toxins in the G.I. tract. Sea greens help to excrete lead. Eat apples to protect you from metal toxins. Seasonal allergies are on the rise. Over 60 million Americans, that’s 20 % of the population, suffer from seasonal allergies. Today the dramatic rise in allergies is due to substances that are harmful, like environmental pollutants, asbestos and smoke exhaust. Also stress and adrenal exhaustion set the stage. Enzyme imbalance and essential fatty acid deficiencies are also involved. Focus on plant-based diet. Animal fats produce inflammatory leukotrienes linked to allergies. Food intolerances are often confused with food allergies. A food allergy is an antibody reaction – an immune system response to a food your body sees as a pathogen or parasite. A food intolerance is a non-immune reaction, usually an enzyme deficiency to digest a certain food.

Emily's Ideas:  Allergies are usually an indication of a HOT/EXCITED tissue state.  An excited immune system will overreact to particles of various types.  Once the substance makes contact, the body takes measures to protect itself with processes such as quarantining the affected area with swelling and inflammation in the surrounding tissues, and soothing and flushing the membranes with increased fluid secretion.  The following are some specific suggestions for different allergies.  Take the medicine in tincture form at doses of 3-5 drops under the tongue (unless otherwise specified), 3 times per day.  For CAT allergies with itchy, runny, eyes and nose, use goldenrod.  For MOLD and DUST allergies take one drop of propolis on the tongue.  For highly susceptible, hot, red mucosa with free secretion, use rose petals or hips.  For general histaminic irritation and cough use wild cherry bark.

J.C. Speaking Words of Wisdom
Do you want to help your stress levels, cope with your allergies, and have the ability to adapt and be calm in any situation? Using will power and brain power to influence hormonal response has been used for thousands of years in the form of visualization. Seeing yourself strong and healthy is a must in today’s negative media-filled society. 100% fact is that your breathing influences your mental, emotional and physical bodies. Adjusting your breathing can balance your response to outside influences no matter what they are. For the physical body to run smoothly and adjust to a changing world, the adrenals must function properly. The adrenal glands are small glands that rest on top of the kidneys. These glands provide us with the hormonal support that is required by the body to get through the day. Strengthen and balance the adrenals with high-powered herbal foods that contain many concentrated vitamins and minerals plus a host of other natural compounds. Special tonic herbs to note are Siberian Eleuthero, Amla, Astragalus, Schisandra, Ashwaganda, and Licorice Root (Chinese). Look for Earth Healing Formula’s “Daily Balance” to aid you with stress, allergies and over-all well-being. Stress is probably one of the biggest factors in common allergies, but often over-looked in the medical fields. Chi-kung and other stress reducing exercises can help tremendously with allergies.
