Jenny's Jive: Are
you suffering from nasal congestion, watery eyes or coughing?
It’s the season for allergies, the
inappropriate response by the body's immune system to a substance that is not
normally harmful. Allergens are the
substances that provoke allergic responses. Allergies
affect our quality of life & productivity. Fortunately there are a number of
herbs & supplements that can be taken to minimize the symptoms of allergies.
Bee pollen & quercetin can help to
stimulate proper immune function.
Herbs can be used to help with the symptoms of allergies.
Boswellia works at the cellular level
to reduce inflammatory & allergic responses, eucalyptus leaves, eyebright,
licorice root, nettle & magnolia flower all help reduce the agonizing symptoms
of allergies. A person suffering from
frequent allergies might consider strengthening their adrenal glands.
There are many more supplements & herbs available for allergy relief, all
of which can be found nestled on the shelves of Stay Healthy!

Positive Vibrations:
Allergies are here and are very annoying
resulting in itchy, scratchy, watery eyes. Pollens and repeated exposure and
sensitivity to toxic chemicals like chlorine, dry cleaning chemicals, plastic
food containers, synthetic perfumes, colognes and household cleaning products
sets off your body’s immune response, and sometimes your body overreacts to
these allergens. Diet, herbs and lifestyle therapy is so important to minimize
the length and degree of your allergy attacks. Go on a short blood purifying
cleanse to begin toxin release – a glass of fresh carrot, beet, cucumber juice,
a bowl of high fiber cereal to bind and eliminate toxins in your G.I. tract
along with some brewer’s yeast, wheat germ and lecithin granules. Eat
organically grown foods as much as possible. Avoid canned foods. Avoid caffeine
which inhibits liver filtering function. Eat some sea greens to excrete lead.
Have an apple a day if you work in a polluted area. Apple pectin removes metal
toxins. Lower bad saturated and trans fats, add good omega-3 fats with essential
fatty acids, and sea greens, flax, canola and olive oils for resistance. Use
herbs to neutralize your histamine response. Take digestive bitters and lemon
extract for enzyme therapy, bilberry extract, quercetin with bromelain to take
down the swelling along with MSM. Other effective herbal healing resources
include garlic oil caps, dandelion, nettles caps, astragalus extract caps,
evening primrose, pau d’ arco tea, grapefruit seed extract caps or drops,
chamomile and horseradish.

Speaking Words of Wisdom
Do you want to
help your stress levels, cope with your allergies, and have the ability to adapt
and be calm in any situation? Having a great attitude is one way to keep your
self balanced. Using will power and brain power to influence hormonal response
has been used for thousands of years in the form of visualization. Seeing
yourself strong and healthy is a must in today’s negative media filled society.
100% fact is that your breathing influences your mental, emotional and physical
bodies. Adjusting your breathing can balance your response to outside influences
no matter what they are. Breathe before you think is an old Chinese proverb
showing the power of breath. For the physical body to run smoothly and adjust to
a changing world, the adrenals must function properly. The adrenal glands are
small glands that rest on top of the kidneys. The outer part, the cortex,
produces cortisone or steroids. Its’ job is to maintain the body's sodium,
potassium, sugar and hormone levels. The inner portion is the adrenal medulla.
It secretes adrenaline and nor-adrenaline that support the body through
situations of fear, worry, stress or anger; it is the "fight or flight" hormone.
These glands provide us with the hormonal support that is required by the body
to get through the day.
Strengthen and balance the adrenals with high powered herbal foods that contain
many concentrated vitamins and minerals plus a host of other natural compounds.
These other active constitutes play a vital role and feed the adrenals directly.
Special tonic herbs to note are Siberian Eleuthero, Amla, Astragalus, Schisandra,
Ashwaganda, and Licorice Root (Chinese).

Warrior Mystic Formula’s
“Adrenal Balance” to aid you with stress, allergies and over all
well-being.
Knowledge applied is

Nik Notes: Every
spring our valley gets flooded with pollen. Mulberry, Olive & Oleander are the
biggest culprits, as they are not native to our valley. When plants are
imported they do not mesh well with the surrounding flora, and given the
combination of non-native plants in Las Vegas , it is no
surprise that so many people are affected. Of all the allergy products that we
carry, I feel that Dolisos “Las Vegas Mix” is the best. It is designed
to give you relief from pollen by exposing you to very small amounts, so small
in fact that your body can easily figure out how to stop any reaction. The “Las
Vegas Mix” is all natural, non-drowsy and totally safe.
